A Winter story πŸ’š Not all is lost for a colourful showcase until the Caladiums reappear in Spring

June 25, 2025

Spread other divine colour pops throughout your Winter garden πŸ’š So many to choose from! Flowers are great - but then so are the beautiful colours of nature with foliage. There is ALWAYS a way πŸ’š

As Winter settles into the rainforest garden and the Caladiums begin to yawn and curl inward, their vibrant stained-glass leaves fading into memory, it may seem like the color has taken its leave. One by one, they retreat underground, tucking their corms into the soil’s warm embrace for a peaceful seasonal slumber.

ο»ΏYet not all is lost—while these flamboyant showstoppers rest, other foliage plants rise to the occasion. Poinsettias, with their bold scarlet bracts and festive presence, step into the spotlight, reminding us that winter holds its own kind of beauty. As the days warm and spring returns, the Caladiums reawaken in a riot of pinks, greens, and ivories, unfurling their leaves like confetti. Their encore dazzles all through autumn, glowing defiantly against the cooling light, before they vanish once more—only to dream in technicolor beneath the surface, waiting for their next grand reveal.
