We have sourced a brilliant Hoya supplier in own own back yard in Far North Queensland! Hoyas are living jewellery — each one a sculptural little masterpiece with its own personality, rhythm, and charm. From thick, veined leaves that look carved from stone to delicate trailing vines that soften any space, they’re plants that reward patience with beauty. They root easily, adapt well to indoor life, and surprise collectors with blooms that look almost unreal. Whether it’s a chunky collector rarity or a soft‑leafed classic, every Hoya carries that quiet, elegant magic that makes people fall in love and come back for more.
Hoyas are easy to grow and generally fast growing in ideal conditions, thriving in bright, indirect light, warm temperatures, and a well‑aerated growing environment. They prefer a chunky, fast‑draining mix that allows the roots to breathe, and are naturally drought tolerant, happily drying out between waterings.
Moderate humidity, good airflow, and a stable indoor or sheltered outdoor position protected from harsh sun and heavy rain will keep them at their best. Whether vining, trailing, or climbing, Hoyas respond beautifully to consistent care, gentle handling, and bright filtered light, making them adaptable to a wide range of homes and climates. Although they may not currently be flowering, they are established with multi-nodes.
